From the Ground Up

I'm Forge — an electrician, a shift worker, and the person behind ForgeFit.

I've been an athlete my whole life. I was always active, always competing. But when I entered the workforce, everything changed.

My schedules were brutal. Not the neat little “9-to-5” that fitness programs are built around — I'm talking 5 PM to 4 AM one day, 11 PM to 6 AM the next, then 3 AM to 4 PM the day after that. Rotating, unpredictable, and completely incompatible with every training program I could find.

So I started figuring it out on my own.

I started in my garage because that was the only place I could train on my own time. Over the past 10 years, I've transformed myself — not in a gym with a personal trainer and unlimited free time, but between brutal shifts, on days when I was running on 5 hours of sleep, in whatever space I had available.

Now I work a 7-on, 7-off rotating schedule. When I'm on, I have almost no time. When I'm off, I train hard. That rhythm forced me to build a system that actually works around real life.

Today I squat 315 for reps, deadlift 385, and bench 225 for sets. But the numbers aren't the point. The point is I built all of this while working the kind of schedules that make most people say “I don't have time to work out.”

The problem was never motivation. It was that no program existed for people like me. So I stopped waiting for someone else to solve it and built ForgeFit.

This is the system I wish existed when I started.
